1. Our Data Practices
Important Notice
Light of Quran is a content publishing service. We do not collect, store, or process any personal data from our audience or social media followers. We do not use Facebook Login, and we do not access any user's personal Facebook, Instagram, or Threads data.
The only data our application handles is:
- Our own Facebook Page access tokens (for publishing)
- Aggregated, anonymized engagement metrics from Meta Insights API
- Quranic verse text used for content generation
2. How to Request Data Deletion
Even though we do not store personal data, we take all deletion requests seriously. If you believe we hold any data related to you, follow these steps:
Send an Email
Email us at lightofquran.contact@gmail.com with the subject line: "Data Deletion Request"
Include Your Details
Provide the following information so we can identify any data:
- Your name or username on the platform
- The platform (Facebook, Instagram, or Threads)
- A description of the data you want deleted
Receive Confirmation
We will respond within 30 days confirming what data (if any) was found and whether it has been deleted. In most cases, the response will confirm that no personal data was held.
3. Deleting Comments & Interactions
If you have commented on, liked, or interacted with our posts on Facebook, Instagram, or Threads, that interaction data is stored by Meta Platforms, not by us. To manage or delete your interactions:
Go to the post → Click your comment → Delete. Or visit Facebook Settings → Your Facebook Information
Go to the post → Swipe on your comment → Delete. Or visit Instagram Help Center
Threads
Go to your reply → Tap the three dots → Delete. Or visit Threads Help
4. Facebook Data Deletion Callback
In compliance with Meta Platform requirements, this page serves as our Data Deletion Callback URL. When a user removes our app from their Facebook settings, they can visit this page for instructions on how to request deletion of any data that may have been obtained through the app.
As stated above, since we do not collect or store personal user data, no action is typically required. However, we honor all requests and will confirm within 30 days.
